PLI Directorate has issued order effecting the increase in Service Tax of both RPLI and PLI premium. The service tax for first year premium will increase from 3.09% to 3.5% and subsequent tax will increase from 1.545% to 1.75%. The revised rates of Service Tax shall be applicable w.e.f . 01/06/2015 as per Government of India, Ministry of Finance, and Department of Revenue Notification No 15/2015- Service tax dated 19.05.2015.
Collection
of service tax on RPLI/PLI premium was introduced from 01.01.2015.
